The Easterseals Central Illinois Board of Directors is pleased to announce its 31st Annual Easterseals Tribute Honoring Kim D. Blickenstaff. The event will take place on Friday, November 5th, at the Scottish Rite Theatre. Different from any prior Easterseals Tribute, the Scotty provides a one-of-a-kind venue. Guests will explore the historic venue before enjoying an unforgettable concert by The Beach Boys with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra conducted by George Stelluto.

No one knows better than Kim Blickenstaff that good things happen when you believe they will. His positive attitude served as the foundation for an incredibly successful career, allowing him to drive innovation and transformation in the medical device industry. Kim is creating a critical mass of optimism right here in Central Illinois. Thanks to that optimism, the entire community can feel the good vibrations that are reverberating all around.

Like Kim, Easterseals embraces the power of positivity to ensure that children with disabilities can reach their full potential. For more than 100 years, Easterseals Central Illinois has helped children with disabilities and developmental delays reach their full potential. The vision that drives Easterseals into its second century of service is a future in which all children are 100% included and 100% empowered. In addition to the 5,000 children with disabilities Easterseals serves annually, they continually lead our community to foster inclusion and celebrate children of all abilities.

“Every day we encounter families who are unsure of what the future holds for their children, and we meet them with positivity and optimism. And as we watch that child grow, we can feel the good vibrations of empowerment and inclusion reverberating alongside them," said Steve Thompson, President, and CEO of Easterseals Central Illinois. He continued “We are honored to celebrate our Easterseals families, Kim Blickenstaff, and all the good vibrations in Central Illinois at this year’s tribute event.”

This is the first time the Peoria Symphony Orchestra and Easterseals Central Illinois have come together to raise funds for children in our community. “The Peoria Symphony is excited to be collaborating with Easterseals on this very special concert honoring Kim Blickenstaff,” said Susan Hoffman, Executive Director of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for many in our community to hear the Peoria Symphony along with the Beach Boys. We look forward to future collaborative projects with Easterseals.”
